Does anyone know any good gaybars or clubs in Riga?

The really good one is Golden bar at Gertrudes iela. Please visit www.goldenbar.lv. This is a only one, where you can normaly sit and talk with people. Other are together with clubs and mostly they have visitors on weekends.

I would only advice Golden. No other place can even be compared with this one - with its atmosphere, soft music, nice people and as a bonus, it is surprisingly tastefully decorated.
I was nicely surprised once I entered there for the first time.

But also there is a cosy gay-friendly cafe on K.Barona street 31 - Cafe ’Osiris’ where artists, polititians and other creative people used to come for a lunch or dinner. This is the place where You can sit and drink some coffee or have quick lunch during Yr busy day.
Also one of my favourite places for coffee & cigarette, lunch or dinner is Cafe ’Opium’ on Vaļņu street 18 (Old Riga) - You will be surprised about customer service from staff side.
But also there is a cosy gay-friendly cafe on K.Barona street 31 - Cafe ’Osiris’ where artists, polititians and other creative people used to come for a lunch or dinner. This is the place where You can sit and drink some coffee or have quick lunch during Yr busy day.

P.S. I also advise Golden Bar. Pls take into account that there is entrance fee on Fridays and Saturdays after 10pm (3 LVL).

Thank you very much! i definitely have to check out the Golden Bar ! it looks like a place to be! my hostel is located very near the cafe opium so i guess i’ll be visiting that too! thank you for your tips! this gives me a good start in exploring Riga !

unfortunately i can’t understand latvian so if you have any good tips for me please write in english :) i will arrive Riga the day after tomorrow and i can’t wait to party in such a beautiful city!
